We love our city for many reasons, but our own Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo sits pretty high on our list of things to love about Fort Wayne! It’s no surprise that the zoo’s regular season opening was delayed due to COVID-19, but the zoo has officially re-opened to members as of this past Sunday, June 14th.
In an effort to maintain safety and follow along with Governor Holcomb’s Back On Track Indiana plan, the zoo will be open to members only from June 14-July 3 with a free timed ticket to reserve your spot (this helps the zoo better control the number of people entering the zoo at one time). If you don’t plan to purchase a zoo membership this season, you will be able to visit the zoo as a regular guest beginning on July 4 (in addition to members).
It’s such an amazing privilege to have a zoo, let alone a nationally ranked children’s zoo, right here in Fort Wayne.
