Just because your entryway is small doesn't mean you can't make it chic and useful. All you really need is a few hooks, a bench that fits the space and a little creativity! Utilize the space under the bench as storage by placing baskets underneath it. This helps to hid all of the clutter that...
Creating an inviting guest room is difficult to do. Most of us simply use our leftover decor to fill the space, but by adding a few extra touches can make your guests feel right at home!
Tip 1: Add something special. Frame a rustic “Be Our Guest” sign for the nightstand or put out your guests favorite magazine. Add a personal touch to the room that makes them feel welcome!
Tip 2: Make sure the bed is comfortable. You can still use your leftover bedding but give your guest options. Layer a comforter and a quilt so they have the option to use either. Provide extra pillows in case they generally sleep with more than one and leave a basket with throw blankets for safe measure!
Tip 3: Give them the WIFI information. Let them know that they are welcome to use your WIFI by either framing a sign with the information on it or simply leaving a note on their nightstand. This will make your guest feel at home and help to avoid any awkward searching for passwords on the back of routers.
Tip 4: Create an “I forgot something” basket. Leave a basket in the guest room that has all of the essential, and easily forgotten, items such as a toothbrush and toothpaste, cotton balls and nail clippers. This will help your guest to feel at ease when they’re searching through their bag and realize they forgot to pack their toothbrush.
Adding a few small and simply touches to your guest room will help you and your guest to have an enjoyable stay together!
