Super Bowl Hosting

It’s Super Bowl time again and that means either attending or hosting a party. And lets be honest, the party is more about the food and commercials than the game really which puts a lot of pressure on the host! Here are a few tips to throwing a Super Bowl bash that everyone will be talking about longer than the Budweiser commercial.

2. Make it a pitch in. This takes a lot of pressure off of you to bring all the food. Email a sign up sheet so everyone knows what others are bringing to avoid having 10 bags of chips and no drinks.
3. Have games to play. For those people who may find watching an entire football game exhausting, set out some cards or other board games! You can even come up with some creative party games for everyone to enjoy!
4. Keep it casual. Avoid bringing out your nice plates or making a fancy meal. Stick to finger foods and paper plates so everyone can feel relaxed and enjoy the game.
5. Have fun! The most important part of being a great host or hostess is to enjoy yourself as much as your guests. If you are up cleaning and worrying about everything being perfect, everyone will feel they are more of a bother than a delight.

Hosting a Super Bowl party is a great way to wet your toes on the hosting front. It is low key and low pressure so take advantage of the opportunity and don’t stress it!
