With the holidays practically here your home may be invaded by guests in the near future, whether you want them or not. Before your guests arrive there are a few things you should do to make sure they enjoy their stay. After all its always nice to impress your friends and family by showing off how good of a host you are. Here are a few simple tips to make your house ready for guests!
The first tip is adding fresh flowers to your house on a regular bases. This will bring some life and color to your house and will allow you to figure out what kind of flowers suit you. They are easily noticeable by guests and easy to get. Who doesn’t love buying themselves flowers anyways?
Another tip is don’t make guests ask were things are. Make sure things like fresh towels blankets and pillows are readily available for them to use. This will help them avoid pretty awkward situations, which will most likely involve you. This also gives them one less reason to go snooping through your closets. Not that they would ever do that.
Another thing that they may need that you might not think of is cotton balls, Q-tips, and Tissues. You can make these things easy to find by displaying them in clear jars that match your decorating habits. These things are nice to have and even nicer to not have to ask for. Plus displaying them in a cute way shows how trendy you can be. Just another way for you to show off to friends and family.
Another more embarrassing item to run out of is toilet paper. Make sure you have plenty and its rather accessible to your guests. A toilet paper shortage is a situation that I’m sure you and your guest would like to avoid!
Another thing to have around is snacks! Keeping things like fresh fruit and other snacks displayed in serving bowls will allow your guests to snack without requiring you to make them something. I’m sure you will make awesome meals that will keep your guests satisfied, but keeping snacks around just in case is never a bad idea. How you display them is up to you. Some suggestions would be an oval serving bowl or even some jars that you could keep granola bars or even snack sized chips. This also takes the pressure off you when trying to make sure you guests are always happy! Good luck these holidays and make sure your guests have only good things to say about their stay and your house!
