Renewing SentriCards on a MAC Computer

Recently many MAC users have experienced an issue with renewing their SentriCards using a MAC computer. Anyone using the MAC 10.10 Yosemite operating system has been affected by this.
Today we published a software update that will fix the problem that users are experiencing when trying to renew their SentriCards in a MAC 10.10 system.
The next time the user tries to update their SentriCard, they should receive a prompt asking them if they want to update their software. Click “Yes”, and the software will update and the card will then be renewed.

Q & A on UPSTAR’s 12-Hour CE Offering | Class Almost Full
Yesterday UPSTAR announced open registration for the first 12-hour CE package on Feb. 24-25. After the notice, we received a number of questions about primarily two issues, which are answered below:
Q. I’m not a managing broker, will the management class count toward my CE requirement?
A. Yes, the state will honor the four (4) CE credits from the management class toward the 12-hour CE requirement for non managers.
Q. I’m not a managing broker, do I have to take the management class; and will it be relevant to me?
A. You can choose to skip the management class on Feb. 25 and take all the others. However, you will be short of the 12-hour CE requirement unless you have already taken (or plan to take) additional CE during the Jul 1, 2014 – Jun 30, 2015 cycle. Also, the two-day CE package is significantly discounted over the hourly rate; and the class outline includes a number of topics that non managers will find relevant such as: 1) what agents can expect from their managing brokers; 2) what managers expect of you; 3) managing broker/agent responsibilities; and 4) areas where agents violate the law to name a few.
Q. Why does the “12-hour” CE package add up to 13 hours?
A. NAR requires that members take the Code of Ethics, which is a three credit hour course—making the total CE credits for the two-day package 13 instead of 12. It is marketed as a 12-hour CE package to reassure members that you can satisfy the “12” required hours in one setting by taking UPSTAR’s two-day package.
