Fort Wayne home sales reported in the area Multiple Listing Service (MLS) for the first 6 months of 2011 were down 19.04% from the same period in 2010. (North Eastern Group Realty sales are up 1%!)
The average Fort Wayne home sales price is improving and was only down .85%.
Inventory levels of homes for sale throughout the Fort Wayne MLS is at 3917 units and in Allen County it is 2428 units. 3917 units is just over 7 1/2 months of inventory at 2010’s sales pace and 6 months of inventory is generally considered to be a balanced market.
There have been 3,893 homes listed in Allen County since the start of 2011 which is down 12% from the same period in 2010.
