Congratulations to Shabaz Khaliq, husband of Realtor Yoland Khaliq

Shabaz Khaliq, husband of North Eastern Group Realty’s own Yolanda Khaliq, was awarded Coach Eck Above & Beyond Honor by HickoryHusker.com. Shabaz is the Elmhurst High School boy’s basketball coach. Facing the real possibility that Elmhurst High School would close at the end of the year, Shabaz was able to keep his team focused and the Trojans we 18-6, advancing all the way to Semi-State.

The Coach Eck Above & Beyond Award recognizes  the attributes of “a modicum of success under difficult circumstances, excessive amounts of dignity, humility, professionalism, and loyalty, and the uncanny ability to simply do the right thing in the face of a diversity”. Wow! Who  wouldn’t want that said of them?
