After graduating as Valedictorian from Blackhawk Christian High School in 1986, Kim married her high school sweetheart, David. They welcomed their first daughter, Teddi, in 1990, followed by twins Patrick and Elizabeth in 1992. The couple’s youngest daughter, Rachel, was born in 1993—the “best mistake they ever made.” During those years, Kim worked for Slater Steels while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from IPFW, which she proudly received in 1995.
In 2002, Kim joined the North Eastern Group as Director of Marketing, where working alongside Joe Zehr opened many doors. In 2008, she became the President and Managing Broker of North Eastern Group Realty. Under Kim’s leadership, the company has grown to over 80 REALTORS, generating more than $450 million in real estate sales annually across northeastern Indiana. Kim is passionate about fostering an environment where agents thrive both personally and professionally, and clients are always treated with excellence.
Kim is also deeply committed to giving back to her industry. She has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Government Affairs Committee, MLS Board of Directors, UPSTAR Board of Directors, RPAC Trustees, Finance Committees, and the NAR Real Property Valuation Committee. She is an active participant in shaping the future of real estate through her involvement in the IAR and NAR Executive Committees and Board of Directors.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys reading, learning, and helping others. She’s a proud Disney enthusiast, loves spending time with her family (especially her 10 grandbabies), and finds strength in her faith in Jesus. Kim believes in the principle that “to whom much has been given, much is expected,” and she strives every day to repay the blessings in her life through service and gratitude.
