Alan Scherer has been a licensed REALTOR® since 2015, Alan’s previous business and sales experience provided the perfect foundation for his career in residential real estate. Alan works to establish trust and serve each person’s unique needs in the selling, buying, or building process.
Alan’s favorite part of being an agent with North Eastern Group Realty is working with clients as a trusted adviser to help them find the home that’s just right for them. Sometimes that means showing homes, sometimes it means giving solid advice, but it always means putting the client’s needs first.
After Alan’s time at Leo High School he attended IPFW and then Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. He spent time living in Tampa, FL and Chicago before ultimately returning to Fort Wayne to be closer to family. In his spare time he enjoys reading a good book, attending an Indy car race, or cheering for old Notre Dame.

I met Alan at my old job. He quickly became more a friend than an agent, so when I started looking for a house, the transition was natural and it just felt like a very good friend was helping me find a house. I knew nothing about how any of this works, and my situation changed drastically multiple times throughout this process. Alan rolled with every punch, worked with me on every thought and idea, taught me what I needed to know and handled what I didn't. Considering how complex and annoying my situation was, I can't believe how simple and seamless the actual process ended up being, and I know that's all on Alan. I know this is starting to look fake, but I seriously can't think of a way that an agent could have been better for me than Alan. He talked to me like I was me, not just a client. It really just felt like I was getting a house on my own, and I had a good friend who had done this a couple times and wanted to help. It never once felt like he was helping me because his job required it, or because he was getting paid. He honestly wanted to get me a house. You can't fake that. He worked his ass off to get me and my son into the right home, no matter what it took, and he did it. As has been stated (but I will state it again), I just don't see how this could have been better. I can't recommend Alan enough, and I know that he reflects the values of your agency as a whole, so I have zero reservation in sending people your way.
