There were long lines all morning for the final day of early voting at the Allen County Election Board. There were people of all ages and walks of life, but everyone was patient and considerate.
According to the News Sentinel, early voting in Allen County is on pace to beat 2008 totals. They quote Beth Dlug, director of elections for the county as saying, “We always have tremendous turnout when there’s a presidential election. This election, it just seems like people are more passionate.”
It made me proud, to see fellow Americans who were so committed to the Democratic process that they were willing to to wait the over hour and a half in the cold to cast their ballot.
